Is video REALLY going to take over the Internet?
I just read this really interesting piece by Ian Lamont on The Industry Standard. I’ve spoken here previously about the fact that video is NOT interactive, but is instead an inherently passive media. So I was happy to read sentences like this in Ian’s article:

Kim Possible digital adventure game at Epcot
I have to say I love this idea! An interactive, adventure, scavenger hunt game where young visitors at Epcot explorer the various pavilions within the World Showcase to complete their mission. Visitors become secret agents and use their Disney supplied GPS enabled “Kimmunicator “which is a custom programmed Motorola cell phone.

At Operand, we design and develop interactive experiences for a living but we are also users of them. Throughout our daily lives we search for and use every digital experience we can find that we consider “interactive”. Our work and blog are founded on our somewhat unique view of what interactivity means. In brief, we think it's bigger and more expansive than most other people seem to. We have define six levels of interactivity and blog about digital interactive experiences within art, architecture, advertising, exhibits, and elsewhere that we feel succeed at elevating interactivity.

Wow! Very impressive. My mind is racing over the possibilities for this technology, small computer controlled robotic “critters” that can function independently and as a single unit.
